Zhongshengmycin Zhongshengmycin is a very new kind of agri-antibiotic, which has solo product patent issued by the Chinese government. It belongs to one kind of N-glgcoside antibiotic and is widely used for controlling the diseases (bacteroidal and fungicidal diseases) of crop, melons, vegetables and fruit trees.

Toxicity: 3% preparation for rats: LD50≥5000mg/kg (per oral taking) and LD50≥2000mg/kg (per cutaneous application or inhaling). It shows no irritation to skin and mild irritation to eyes, and therefore its toxicity is low.
Refined 70% preparation for mice: LD50=316mg/kg (per oral taking), indicating its low toxicity; it shows no teratogenic and mutagenic effect.
Chemicalphysical property: a yellowish powder, melting point: 173~190℃, totally soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and stable in acid medium under low temperature.
Sensitive subject: as an antibiotic of wide spectra, it acts on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mycobacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi, especially, it shows a noticeable antibiotic effect on pathogenic microorganisms of such crop diseases as soft rot of Chinese cabbage (Erwinia carotovora var. Carotovora), angular leaf spot of cucumber (Pseudomonas syringae pv. Lachrynas (Smith et Bryan), rice bacterial leaf blight (Xanthomonas oryzae), and apple ring spot (Botryosphaeria berengeriana de Not.f.sp.piricola (Nose) Koganezawa et Sakuma).
